Villages and Birds Leisure Cruise in 10 Nights

Ten nights changes the north loop from a route with leisure stops into a leisure journey.

The boat can give Arborek, an arranged dawn bird activity, Fam, Piaynemo, Wayag and west Waigeo separate time. It does not need to force each place between scuba cycles because this product carries no dive profile.

A slow route, not an empty one

Leisure does not mean the boat drifts without a plan. Distance, community arrangements, viewpoint access and surface conditions still structure the days.

The difference is what wins when choices compete. A good snorkelling session can continue. A village visit can use the time agreed with hosts. Guests can rest rather than prepare for the next tank.

Who the trip suits

Book it when nobody needs scuba and the group values culture, birdwatching, snorkelling and unhurried time above water.

It suits travellers who want Wayag but prefer more context and fewer compressed movements than the seven-night leisure loop. It can suit mixed ages once the actual vessel's berth, supervision, access and flotation policies are confirmed.

Do not book it if diving defines the holiday. A dive liveaboard has the compressors, guides and schedule this boat deliberately omits.

Arborek

Day two combines Dampier snorkelling with an arranged Arborek visit. The village controls access and photography expectations.

Guests should keep the jetty clear, ask before photographing people and avoid turning everyday activity into an assumed performance. The crew confirms what has actually been arranged.

Arborek's shallow jetty can give snorkellers useful reef interest, but current and tender support still decide the water activity.

Sawinggrai and birds of paradise

The design places birdwatching at dawn on day three. Birds of paradise are protected by the marine park authority. The activity must follow local guidance and avoid disturbing birds, nests or habitat.

We do not promise a sighting. A protected wild bird is not a scheduled inclusion.

The early start affects the rest of the day, so the itinerary leaves room for a later surface activity or rest instead of pretending dawn has no cost.

Fam and Piaynemo

Fam provides reef snorkelling and paddling. Piaynemo receives a full daylight block for its viewpoint and lagoon.

The viewpoint climb is optional. Access, footwear and physical requirements are briefed aboard. Equipment and supervision for kayaking or snorkelling need confirmation on the assigned vessel.

Passage north

Day six is a passage. It cannot also be marketed as a full schedule of shore and water activities.

Guests should secure loose belongings and expect machinery. A suitable stop may be possible, but it remains conditional on navigation and time.

The route admits this cost because Wayag is the reason for going north.

Two northern days

Day seven belongs to the Wayag lagoon, kayaking and optional viewpoint. Day eight gives the far north another block before moving toward west Waigeo.

That second day is what a slower itinerary buys. It creates room to adjust rather than asking one weather-sensitive day to carry every northern promise.

Aljui boundary

The skeleton names Wayag and Aljui on day eight. Research supports the existence of a private pearl farm and a macro-oriented bay, but it does not verify visitor access.

We therefore describe west Waigeo movement, not a pearl-farm inclusion. A visit can appear only after the operator confirms permission and terms.

Snorkelling and kayaking

Surface activity still needs a guide and tender plan. Guests do not enter independently because the reef looks shallow.

Provide equipment sizes before departure. Bring a personal mask if fit is important. Follow coral-protection, wildlife and current briefings.

No animal encounter is guaranteed. Do not feed fish, collect natural objects or stand on coral.

Boat class

The placeholder product uses a traditional phinisi with six cabins and no more than twelve guests. It is not a vessel-name promise.

Cabin arrangement, tenders, kayaks, snorkelling sizes, charging and accessibility need confirmation when a real boat is assigned.

Scuba, tanks, nitrox and dive guiding are explicitly excluded. A guest cannot add them informally after boarding.

Price and permit

The structured range is per person sharing. The environmental permit and gratuities are outside the basis, and alcohol is excluded.

The authority publishes the permit at IDR 700,000 for international visitors and IDR 425,000 for Indonesian citizens, valid twelve months, with under-twelves exempt. We do not call this the total entry cost while another possible ticket remains unresolved.

Return and disembarkation

Day ten turns south with a suitable final stop where time permits. Day eleven disembarks in Sorong.

What the extra nights buy

They buy time for hosts, birds, surface water and the far north to exist as separate parts of the trip.

That is the product. Not a dive cruise with the tanks removed, but a north loop designed around people who never needed them.
