This is the shortest route we will call a Misool cruise.
Nine nights lets the boat run south from Sorong, spend four local days across southern, eastern and northern Misool, then return through Fam and the Dampier Strait. A shorter page could print the same names. It could not give them the same time.
Why Misool comes first
The boat boards in Sorong and begins the long run south on the first night. That puts the main passage behind the group before the southern diving starts.

Four Misool days
Days two and three stay in southern Misool. Day four works east. Day five uses the north before the passage back.
That sequence gives guides several site choices instead of forcing one famous name. Strong current, group ability or access can remove a site without removing the region.
Magic Mountain diving in southern Misool is one possible exposed profile. The sources recommend advanced and drift experience, with one operator also recommending fifty logged dives. Manta cleaning stations create potential, not a sighting guarantee.
Fiabacet and Four Kings also carry strong-current, advanced descriptions, but their operational evidence is single-source. The page labels that limitation.
Who the trip suits
The design asks for Advanced Open Water, at least fifty logged dives and recent drift experience. This is not the route for a diver who wants to learn basic buoyancy during the first southern entry.
It suits someone who has nine nights and cares more about Misool than equal time in Dampier. It also suits photographers willing to choose a setup from current and reef shape rather than an animal promise.
Who should choose another route
Choose the eleven-night full-park cruise if Dampier matters equally. Choose the seven-night Dampier product if long overnight passages are the wrong trade. Choose a leisure cruise if nobody aboard dives.

Do not book this trip because a single named site is non-negotiable. The guides retain the right to substitute it.
Dive count
Four dives is the ceiling on suitable full Misool days, commonly three daytime opportunities and a night dive. It is not multiplied across all ten calendar days.
Day one is boarding and passage. Day six repositions north. Day nine stops early enough for onward flying. Conditions can reduce any other day.
Nitrox is excluded, so it cannot be treated as an automatic feature of the four-dive profile. Certification, availability and terms need confirmation for the assigned vessel.
Boo Windows and photography
Boo Windows is known for rock openings and wide-angle composition rather than a guaranteed animal. The guide decides whether the route goes through or around any opening.

Large camera rigs must fit the tender and entry plan. The group cannot wait in current while one photographer solves a handoff.
Passage north
Day six is visibly a passage. The itinerary may dive at one or both ends when the route allows, but it does not present the day as an ordinary four-dive schedule.
Guests should secure cameras, bottles and loose equipment before movement. Cabin position and machinery affect the night differently across vessels, which is why those details wait for boat assignment.
Fam and Dampier
Fam changes the reef and experience profile after four southern days. Melissa's Garden has unusually strong operator agreement for all-level use, though current can still strengthen.
Dampier then provides the final current-led diving on days eight and nine. The trip does not claim those two days equal a dedicated Dampier week.
Boat class
The placeholder is a phinisi dive liveaboard with seven cabins and no more than fourteen guests. It is not a named vessel promise.
The actual cabin plan, camera space, tenders, nitrox system, rental sizes and charging arrangement must be confirmed on assignment.
Price basis and permit
The structured placeholder range is per person sharing and appears once in frontmatter. We do not repeat it in prose.
The environmental permit, rental gear and gratuities are outside the basis. Nitrox and alcohol are also excluded.
The marine park authority publishes the permit at IDR 700,000 for international visitors and IDR 425,000 for Indonesian citizens, valid twelve months, with under-twelves exempt. We do not call this a total entry cost because a possible separate ticket remains unresolved.
Flights and the last day
Final dives occur on day nine, followed by day-ten disembarkation in Sorong. We do not invent live airline schedules or tight connection windows.
Arrive before embarkation day and follow the confirmed no-fly and transfer plan.
The south-focused answer
Nine nights does not make Misool close. It makes the distance usable.
This route earns its name by spending four days in the south and admitting the passage required to get there.
