Yenbuba Jetty

Yenbuba Jetty sits off Mansuar and gives the Dampier Strait route another broad-experience, shallow-reef option.

One operator publishes two to twenty-five metres and none-to-mild current. Two sources agree on all-level or beginner-to-intermediate use. That is useful evidence, even though the site has less distinguishing detail than Cape Kri or Arborek.

The dive

The guide can use the jetty and nearby reef for a shallow route, letting a new diver settle into buoyancy and tender procedure without needing the full depth range.

The operator description reports schooling barracuda, turtles, staghorn coral and cabbage coral. Coral structure is the reliable reason to pay attention. Animal sightings remain conditional.

Beginner fit

Two-source agreement supports using Yenbuba for newer divers when conditions match the published mild profile.

The label does not remove normal requirements. A diver must control buoyancy above coral, stay with the group and follow tender instructions. Equipment changes should be completed before leaving the deck where possible.

If current, visibility or boat traffic changes, the guide may move the group. A permanent all-level description does not command the water.

Depth

Twenty-five metres is the published lower extent, not a goal. Open Water divers can remain within their training and use the shallower coral.

Going deeper costs time and can leave the group below the best light. The briefing should say what feature, not what maximum, defines the route.

Snorkelling potential

The shallow reef shape may suit snorkelling, but the audited research contains no specific Yenbuba snorkelling claim. We therefore do not market it as guaranteed crossover.

Ask whether a tender and crew member support non-divers, where they enter and what current is doing. A shallow site is not automatically an independent swim.

Community boundary

A jetty is working community infrastructure. Divers and tenders should use it under local and crew arrangements.

Do not block access, leave equipment on the walkway or photograph people without permission. This page covers the underwater site, not a staged village visit.

Evidence limits

Depth, current and wildlife come from one operator. Experience has two-source support. No authority publishes site coordinates, visibility or season.

The page omits those fields instead of borrowing numbers from another jetty or a search summary.

Access and route role

Yenbuba is accessible to regional day boats and liveaboards. It can work early for group assessment or later for a shallower final profile.

Its value is not a superlative. It is a manageable jetty and coral option supported by broad-experience evidence, with enough route flexibility to leave it out when the day disagrees.

Ask the guide why it fits today's group. A clear operational answer is more useful than another animal list.
